We are always looking for more volunteers to join us in the work we’re doing! We’re proud to offer volunteer opportunities that suit a variety of schedules and availability. Thursday Night Leader
This role includes showing up to our church gathering every Thursday to play, eat and lead the kids. You will be assigned a small group of kids or teens that earnestly seek adults who will love, support, and guide them! You will lead games from time to time and hold a very special place in your small groups heart!
Mentor a Kid
Mentorship is very special to us, for a child to have a close discipleship-style relationship with a God-fearing adult is life changing. Twice a month on your own schedule you will meet with your Mentee (and another Safe Sanctuary trained adult) to go on an adventure, talk about God, show support, and have fun!
Safety Information
All Sideways Sunlight Ministries volunteers will be required to complete a background check and an up-to-date Safe Sanctuary training before becoming an official volunteer! We provide free Safe Sanctuary training every August and upon request of new volunteers who join us mid-year. Background checks are commonly $20 at the expense of the volunteer.

Donate a Dinner
Every week we seek to provide a healthy, yummy, and nutritious meal for our large group of kids. We are in great need of a group of people to cook/provide dinner for our youth group on Thursdays. Please reach out via the contact tab!
Become a Donor
Our donors give so much more than their finances. They create opportunity by expanding our capacity to do ministry. Without donors, we wouldn't be able to accomplish the things we are set out to do.
